How to close an M6toll account (or remove a vehicle)

M6toll Breeze accounts hold a small prepaid balance and pay your crossings automatically now the road is barrierless. Moving one car off the account is a two-minute job in the portal.

Before you cancel anything

The M6 Toll is ANPR-only now — there's no barrier to remind you. Once a vehicle is off the account, an unpaid crossing becomes a £70 PCN. Get replacement cover active before removing the vehicle, and don't use the road in the gap.

Step by step, on the Midland Expressway (M6toll) website

  1. 1Sign in at customers.m6toll.co.uk.
  2. 2Open your vehicle list and remove the vehicle you're moving.
  3. 3To close the account entirely, contact customer services (customer.services@m6toll.co.uk or the number below) — unused balance is returned to you.
