Trust & security

You're trusting us with your car's coverage and a payment method. Here's exactly who we are and how you're protected — every claim on this page is checkable.

Your card never touches our servers

  • All payments run on Stripe, the payment infrastructure behind companies like Deliveroo, Uber and Amazon. Card numbers go directly from your browser to Stripe — we never see, store or transmit them, and only ever hold the last four digits for your reference.
  • Prefer not to type a card at all? Use Apple Pay or Google Pay — your bank details stay inside your phone's wallet — or a UK Direct Debit, which is protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
  • You are only ever charged when a real crossing happens, and every charge comes with an itemised receipt.

A real, registered UK company

  • Snaptoll is a trading name of Dephre Ltd, registered in England & Wales, company number 17297698 — you can look us up on Companies House right now.
  • Registered office: 802 Centurion Tower, 5 Caxton Street North, London E16 1XJ.
  • We're registered with the ICO (the UK's data-protection regulator) as a data controller.

The penalty promise — in the Terms, not just here

  • If a penalty charge notice is ever caused by our failure — we didn't pay a charge we should have paid — we reimburse it. Tell us within 14 days of the notice and we put it right.
  • That promise lives in our Terms of Service, where it's enforceable, not just on a marketing page.

Your data stays yours

  • Your data is stored in the UK/EU and is never sold. We collect only what running the service needs: your vehicle, your crossings, your receipts.
  • Self-serve export and deletion are built in — download everything we hold about you, or delete your account, any time from your dashboard settings.
  • The service runs entirely over HTTPS with modern security headers, and every account action is rate-limited and logged.

Real people you can reach

  • Questions before, during or after signup: contact us — we reply within 5 working days (usually much faster), and penalty questions jump the queue.

The full legal detail lives in our Terms and Privacy Policy.
